Integrated, Intelligent and Innovative Publications with the PUB IN

Abstract

This proposal presents the activity of the PUB In project, developed by the University of Minho (UM) in collaboration with the Foundation for Science and Technology/Foundation for National Scientific Computing (FCT/FCCN). PUB In was created to improve the current state of scientific publishing, focusing on the provision of services oriented to the needs of the community with particular emphasis on aspects of interoperability between platforms and the optimization of editorial workflows. PUB In is an integrated initiative to support scientific publishing nationwide to simplify and modernize the management of the editorial life cycle of scientific journals with benefits for all participants. It also aims to simplify the management process of these journals in the various directories of journals in order to make coherent and maximize the presence of Portuguese scientific journals on the Internet and in specialized indexes.
