Abstract

Research data management services include management across the entire data lifecycle, and libraries are restructuring their products, services, and user training for such management. The services begin to register a certain degree of success as they meet the library's goals of meeting the demands of its community in data management and a significant number of users served. With descriptive research, this article describes the actions in data management services and the work developed by the library of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences at Unesp which works in a network of 33 libraries in support of data management and elaboration of Data Management Plan considering specifically the support offered to the local community and librarians of the network, and a series of workshops and trainings. The results demonstrate that the activities met the demands in the elaboration of the Data Management Plan and the requirements and best practices for data management with a total of 23 activities between workshops and lectures reaching 8,530 present and remote, in Brazil and abroad. It is concluded that the demand is growing according to the guidelines and requirements of funding agencies, scientific journals and publishers for the availability and publication of datasets.
