Abstract

This is an exploratory research with the objective of applying a diagnostic questionnaire on the partial results of the project (in progress) of incubation of research data repositories, in partnership between the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict) and the National Research Teaching Network (RNP). The initiative offers technical support, knowledge and experience to accelerate the deployment of research data repositories from the four Science, Technology and Innovation Institutions (ICTs), selected in the Open Call 2021. The result of the quali-quantitative approach demonstrated that internal disclosure about participation has not yet had the necessary impact, in the interest of researchers to deposit their data in the Repository. The data management policy is, for the most part, in the planning phase; while the mandatory practice of depositing research data has not yet been conceived. The work teams in the development of the repositories are multidisciplinary. At the time of application of the questionnaire, there was still no intention to integrate the institutional repositories of research data and publications of the institution , and there was still no open access policy established for the repository of publications.
