Data Management Plan is a document where the steps and decisions about the management of scientific data are described. There are platforms that assist in its elaboration, however, they are not centralized initiatives for the preservation of these documents. The National Registry of Data Management Plans of the Brazilian Institute for Information in Science and Technology (IBICT) has the project to develop and make publicly available a tool that meets such demands. The tool has as its main characteristic to meet the FAIR Principles and the 5 Stars for Open Data of Tim Berners-Lee. Thus the goal of this paper is to present the strategy for the preservation of IBICT's FAIR Data Management Plan project.IBICT's Dataverse repository, through the Hipátia model of digital preservation, will preserve such plans. A national PGD registry can be considered a strategic resource, considering the permanent need to provide visibility and transparency about the research conducted in Brazil.
